Avail Tunes

What tunes are available (COBB, DINAN...) for a 2012 135i production date Apr 3, 2012? I am having trouble, on some of this tunes, understanding which ones are valid for this model/prod year. Any comments are welcome.

Non-dealer installed PPK is not an option.

I had the PPK installed when I purchased it.

WOW, guess I will stay with only having the PPK which is fine with me but a little disappointing just the same.

You can certainly go with Dinan. There's a long MHD thread where you need to check to see if you are one of the "lucky" ones where you have to have your DME bench flashed first. The thread will tell you how to identify which DME you have. If you have a DME which doesn't require bench flashing, this is another option. I think MHD is getting close in locking down the bench flash procedure so MHD may be an option now even if you have that special DME.

Then there's JB4. I haven't researched COBB because it's not an option with my 2013 car.

Mine is a March 2012 build, so your car will be the same
COBB = No
Dinah = Yes
JB4 = Yes
MHD = Yes (benchflash needed)

I had PPK with JB4 but had constant low speed drivability issues. Removed JB4 and had benchflash custom tune done. Picked up about 80 hp at the rear wheels so well worth it. Benchflash though involved removing top half of engine so no small job.

Yeah I would wait for MHD! I've seen alot of people having issue with Burgermotorsports JB4 and when they switched with MHD all there problems went away. Also for the cost of JB4 + issue not worth it.
