Heads up display (F82) keeps resetting off M mode

So as the title suggests, whenever I start up my M4 the heads up display always resets back to the default speedometer-mode. Whenever I scroll in the settings menu, I have to select M-mode heads up display every time I start the car, as it never saves.

Is there a way to set this permanently so that it doesn't reset? I appreciate any help cause I really wanna use the M-mode heads up display but it's getting annoying to re-apply it every time.

You can use the M buttons to program your default settings, including the HUD mode

That's normal. It will always reset. The only way to get the fancy HUD is to hit the M1 or M2 buttons.

Just to be clear, the default settings are the settings that the car has when it starts and those settings cannot be changed. What you can change is the personalized settings for each M button which can include HUD M View. It is not possible to have the car start with HUD M View by default.

Actually have you tried to use your memory setting to save the heads up display settings? I heard people having to do that to keep the display in M mode.

Do you have any accessories in the car keeping it from sleeping? Mine did this until I disconnected something I had plugged in.
