Former 1addict thinking about relapsing

Hey all!
I was a 135i owner for about 2 years and had a ton of fun with my 2010. Unfortunately, she had to be sold for a few years to free up some funds for a house and such.

In those years, ive advanced my career and put our family finances in a pretty good spot.

Ive HATED driving my 2013 Honda Civic LX (with MT however...) every day since. It just never had the polish and enjoyment of the 1er. I miss those damn Sport seats every single day!

With the improvement of the weather lately, my wife and I drove along side a convertible 1series and she said "I would LOVE one of those!" and my ears instantly perked up. After feeling out what i was working with, it seems shes honestly ok with me looking for a 'vert 1er! (I told her i would get convertible if we can go 6MT, which she drove reasonably well with my last 1er. She begrudgingly agreed.)

I came across this locally this morning. I am going to look at it at lunch. Cant sleep on these things with 6MT and MSport package!

Looked at the referenced 1er. Pretty clean but had some pretty annoying WG rattle. Not worth the 17,750 they were looking for.

I'd really rather a nice 128i anyways.

Honestly man don't even think about just get it, i can stop driving my 135i manuel its feels better then any other manuel car out there. i perfer hardtop for more sporty look but convertible is nice too.

Mrs Tux didn't agree when I bought mine, however when I asked last week about converting to MT she said in a matter of fact way if you want. My left foot wants in on the action in my 1er so it's the right thing to do.

Mrs b1aze- set your mind at ease on the MT, it's just not a real car otherwise.

Appreciate the offer but a stipulation was she would get a ragtop. Sunroof just doesn't do the same thing. Nice car and if I was in the market, I'd probably snatch that up but alas, gotta keep my side of the deal.

Ugh. I got teased. Cars.com said there was a 2011 128i convertible MSport 6spd within driving distance. Turns out it's automatic but it's still very tempting.

2011 Black MSport with Alaska Grey interior. Comfort access and Nav.

Just so happens to be a nice 2011 with 50k miles in California. Would only be about 2500 miles!
