iOS 10.3.1 update now all the apps start when connecting?
FML I updated to 10.3.1 today and now whenever I get in my car all the BMW connected apps start up in succession and then it goes to the Connected Drive app on screen and asks for my PIN to log in. This happens whether the phone screen is on or off.
For example, I start car and then the phone loads: spotify/stitcher/M laptimer/Connected and it goes whoosh whoosh whoosh and then stops on connected. It's super annoying. Any known fix? |

10.3.1 is the first update where my phone actually connects and displays Spotify artwork with reasonable consistency.
I have a 16 with ID4 though.

Yes. Happens to me too. Agreed. Very annoying.
I wasn't sure if it was a recent car system update or what. However, I did just update my phone to 10.3.1. So, I think you're right. Anybody discover a way to keep this from happening? I haven't gone looking around in the car or my phone yet. I'd be curious too if someone has the answer. |

Happening to me on my 17 with ID5 as well. Also, regardless of what music I choose to listen to (satellite, iOS music app, Spotify)...the damn Pandora app I never use starts up 30 seconds or so after whatever I choose and switches to some random music!
I finally uninstalled Pandora and now Spotify does it. Edit: just saw this was already in some other threads http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1371019

I had overcast, stitcher and podcruncher all installed as well trying out new podcasting apps. I could never get overcast to play automatically or recognize album art such that the vehicle buttons wouuld work. Also stitcher would override and start playing instead of the app I was most recently using. I uninstalled stitcher and podcruncher and now overcast tends to play automatically and it recognizes all the art and the buttons work more frequently now. |

Besides the annoyance of having to enter pin/fingerprint for Connected and then skipping the "don't use while driving" warning, I've noticed that the ID integration is much better after the 10.3+ update. Spotify now has access to all of my songs and albums, and not just a fraction of them. Album art displays correctly now without a 1-2 minute delay. I'll take it.

I didn't have quite the same problems as some of you are explaining here but just a few days ago I noticed my iPhone/iDrive Spotify integration was acting really weird.
I ended up un-pairing my phone and re-pairing and since then it has been flawless. I'm on IOS 10.3.2 and iDrive 6. |
