Anything to look out for @73,000?

Hi Guys,

I'm taking my car to my indy next week for an oil change. I was wondering if there is anything else I should be preemptively checking or replacing at this mileage (73,000).

I got the car at 55,000 in November 2015 and I've only replaced the pulleys in addition to oil changes. The car is running perfectly. The computer tells me its about time to replace the brake fluid, and my pads have 6000 miles left. The computer says I'm not due for a full service for 18,000 miles which seems crazy to me.

Please let me know if there is anything else I should look for or replace.

Thank you

If the car adhered to BMW's maintenance schedule up until this point, the only things that come to mind are coolant and PS fluid (none of those have specified change intervals per BMW, which I think is dumb).

Obviously, you should have everything visually inspected for wear and age-related failure -- think belts, rubber gaskets, CV joints, etc.

I know that some people will fearmonger and tell you to replace rod bearings and throttle actuators as preventative maintenance, but that feels like throwing money away.

Thanks! Yeah I've sent in my oil for analysis and Blackstone said my bearings seemed fine. What are the transmission and diff fluid intervals?

Diff and tranny fluids are every 30k miles according to the old school maintenance schedule.

Personally I drive around 12k miles a year and do it every 3 years

Is that with the DCT trans or just the MT?

DCT is considered lifetime by BMW (meaning warranty + 1 day). Based on the analyses I've seen on here, the fluid can go past 50k.
