Problem with Power Window after Battery Dying

Hey folks

Not sure if this is the right discussion group, but anyway, I bought a 2008 135i in the fall that is going to be my summer car, and I haven't really driven it yet. It's stored in my garage and over the past couple of weeks I installed a DCI and JB4 and put in new spark plugs. I learned a week ago that the battery had died and wouldn't hold a charge. I replaced the battery today with an OEM from BMW with the same specifications.

Everything has been great since I replaced the battery except for one thing: you know how the windows dip down half an inch or so when you open the door and rises again after you close the door? Well the driver's door stopped doing that. The passenger door still does it but the driver's door has stopped. I am positive that this worked in the fall when I parked the car. The power window button still functions just fine, but that one feature has ceased.

Any ideas on what the issue could be or how to fix it? The door still opens and closes Ok, but the window rubs the top of the door jam a bit, and I'm sure that after a while this will cause issues. Thanks.

Cheers,
Marshall

I found this article and I was very happy that it seemed to work!

I was so happy and appreciative as the fix seemed to work when I was in the car. I got out, closed the door, and the auto-up-and-down feature had stopped working again... and now the power window on the driver's side does not work at all, and the window is permanently up! HALP!

It actually started working again and is working perfectly.

I'm going to attribute this to dead-battery/new-battery general electrical gremlins and hope it doesn't come back.

If you never take the car into the light the gremlins shouldn't rear their ugly head.
