Starting Car.... Welcome Screen

New owner here....

Can't seem to figure out why when starting the car, 90% of the time I get that stupid warning (only use system when conditions permit or something like that)...and other times I get like a nice little ///M welcome screen type of deal. Is there any way to turn that warning off? Why does it come up sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't?

You can code it off, then it starts with M logo.

Only way to turn it off is thru coding. I did it on my car along with many other things and it's so much better in my opinion

Sorry to be a newb on this. How do I get this coded? Is something the dealer would do for me or something I need to figure out? If choice 2, how hard is this to do and what equipment do I need?

Dealer won't do it. In case you didn't see it, there a subsection of the forum on coding: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=631

Easiest way to get your car coded is to find someone local who knows how to do it as a favor.
