M4 2015 Convertible Sub Amp Location and type?
I finally want to upgrade my sound.
I have been researching sound upgrades for my HK systems (mostly on this forum) and it seems this seems like the path I want to try. Bavsound stage 1 technics Add a Sub harness with LC2i SWS underseat with technics adapter rings Audio Control ACR1 Remote Sub Amp (to be determined) So now I have a question. I haven't seen any info on a m4 convertible. Has anyone found a place to put the amp without having it taking space in the trunk? If so, what amp and where? Thanks |

I ended up putting my Rockford Fosgate PBR300x1 and Audio Control LC2i right above the stock HK amp. There's more than enough space to put a compact amp under the lining in that area.
And I positioned the audio control so I could access it through the plastic panel on that side. I went with Bavsound Stage 1, Bavsound Ghostsubs and the amp is running a 10in JL Audio PowerWedge. I'm here to help if you've got any questions. |

It's a good fit without taking up too much room and really good base response. I purchased 2 small L shaped brackets from Lowe's to keep it stabilized against rear seat.

This sounds like a great route to take! I might suggest just going for it and making the amp a 5-channel to drive everything if you're going to go through the effort of installing an amp, so that everything benefits from more power with a really minimal amount of additional effort.
Also, let me know if there's anything I can do to help as well! |
