CC-ID 229 and 415, 2 month old battery >.>
Parked my car in the garage the other night and noticed that it had a 415 code upon start up
Then today when I went to program homelink it had a battery symbol and code 229. This battery is 2 months old at the most, some brand new Interstate battery, prior was OEM BMW battery, the car is a 2011 135i, just ticked 35k. No iDrive, no stereo system, have PI (ground not hooked up currently), and meth hooked up, the meth I have had in for a very long time. I was by the shop who installed the Interestate coded it, but I am a bit skeptical as a battery should not be dying this soon. They got it done in like 15 minutes... It is on a trickle charger now, and it read at 20% charged (tested on another car, and it was 100% charge) When car is on battery voltage (read from MHD) is anywhere between 14.5 to 14.7. Recently checked it with car off and it was at like 11.6~ Any ideas? Would a improper coding cause this? Trying to eliminate some just causes... Thanks

It just got done charging, it is one of those trickle chargers that shut off when it is done, and it kept clicking on and off as if it wouldnt hold a charge, but it stayed at 100-80% most of the time
I am letting the car just run with the garage door slightly open for a little bit so it charges The 415 and battery did not come on so that is a good thing, I might still take it in tomorrow though

Don't take a "working" car into garage b/c they may find nothing. Use it for a few days and note what happens. Do you have a DVM to occasionally monitor battery voltage?

All I have is MHD to check my voltage, though not entirely accurate, it gives a good idea. Like with the 7 year old battery, one morning it read mid 10s, the car barely started, that is when I got a new battery the next day and it has been reading 12s~ (ranges from low to mid high 12s) in mornings
