Coilover height vs. ride comfort

I was wondering if adjusting the coilover height lower negatively effects the ride comfort? Specifically, I was curious if there would be noticeable difference between lowering 1" vs. 1.25" on an E92 M3 using the exact same coilovers? Thanks in advance!

The lower the car goes, typically the less travel the suspension has, making 'bottoming' out more harsh. Subtracting a quarter inch shouldn't have any major effects.

I thought height adjustment and suspension travel are independent of each other on coilovers. It's the major benefit over just lowering springs.

Obviously, if your car is way too low, you will scrape the ground.

no, valving on coilovers generally isn't changed with ride height unless like others have stated, you're at the end of the stroke of the shock.
