Does my car 2012 (e88) have advanced battery monitoring system

I'm going to get a dashcam installed, they advise the following:

"This is our labour fee for installing an external battery (such as Cellink B or equivalent product) to power your dash camera. *NOTE* External batteries are only used for those vehicles with advanced battery monitoring systems such as 2013 - newer BMW vehicles"

The dashcam will be hard wired, and there is an option for car parking damage, i.e. it goes to sleep untill a sensor feels a hit then it kicks into life
