Wheel hop on hard launch?

Why is it that when i dump the clutch at the start i get a TONNNNNNNN of wheel hop, I have traction control off, power on, and i dont have adjustable shocks, what can it be???? sorry if this has been discussed, it is drivin me up the wall, it happens every single time, i feel like im gonna hop over into the other lane

doest TC cut down on power though?? I thought that when you race you take TC off and power button on???

This reminds me of the thread from the kid in Florida, asking the M5 board how to get the most speed out of SMG just before he raced his M5 down a runway. That was the last time he ever drove it....

Try leaving it in M Dynamic Mode (if you have it).

"what launch rpm are you using ? what DSC and EDC settings are you using? Play with these along with the launch rpm and see where that gets you."

I am also guessing there is a learning curve with driving the M3.

I saw that thread when he asked that question...that was the same kid who split the car in half? don't know how I missed that...

back to the topic...

Don't dump the clutch and if you still get wheel spin modulate the throttle so it could catch and then hold on!! but like others have said play with your M Dynamics settings...

+1. i just read several of the threads over there at m5board. can't believe how that whole thing went down. one minute a member is warning him "if you crash, expect it to be on the news," the next minute he's on the news and 5 kids are dead.
