Buying replacement Throttle Body Actuators from FCP Euro
Hey everyone
I have 76k miles on my 08 E92 and have the dreaded double TA failure. I am searching for the most cost effective replacement part (not just the gears) and found these at FCP Euro. Has anyone purchased TAs from them before, any ideas as to why they are $300 less than places like ECS? It says OEM and has the OEM part #. Here is the link: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...m3-13627838085 Any insight would be appreciated. |

FCP Euro is a legitimate company. I've bought numerous parts from them over the years.
Another bonus is that they have *lifetime warranty* on all parts they sell. You read that right. If mine fail I'll be buying from them.

I ended up pulling the trigger - if you register for an account with their site you get an extra 5% off coupon emailed to you, so all in the total for 2 was $1290 shipped. Will let everyone know how it turns out.

I can vouch for FCP euro. The always have great prices and the lifetime warranty is a bonus. I didn't believe it but it's a real thing. The cover any parts! Even wear and tear!! I remember last year I bought stock brakes for my e46 and after they wore out, they replaced them for free!! They even cover shipping costs! When I do my brakes and rotors on my e92, this is the only way I'll do this now. Plugs, coils, filters etc. I even read online they even will take back your used oil after whatever amount of miles and send you fresh oil.

They clearly are a legit company
How they can 'warrant' wear and tear items like oil or brakes is completely beyond me, but... |

Yep after some additional research definitely a legit company - thanks everyone for vouching for them on here (I haven't used them before).
Looks like their normal price is higher and they are currently on sale, so if you think you'll be in the market soon, might be good to snag them now. |

wow great price! and I have purchased from FCP Euro before and it went well.
I think this is a more normal price for these actuators though. I think that due to the high demand of these, most sellers in the western world have been marking these up. I did a pretty extensive search awhile back and I noticed it's possible buy them in eastern european countries for around this price. But they wouldn't ship to the US and blah blah blah. Also note that Siemens is the actual manufacturer of these actuators so it's possible FCP Euro made a deal directly with them and was able to lower the price that way. Also the refurb/rebuild market on these actuators has been improving significantly recently. Maybe given that you can get an actuator rebuilt for like a third of the previous brand new actuators price, the sellers have had to adjust the prices for new ones and FCP is just the first one to respond to market pressures. Depending on the case, if this is a permanent thing at FCP Euro, I would give either them props for voluntarily taking the gouging out of the pricing on these and/or tip my hat to the people who invested in making the affordable actuator rebuilds possible. Something that all M3/M5 owners can appreciate when the time eventually comes. But still the most likely case is that they are probably just trying to clear out some slow selling inventory and the price will go back up. time will tell |

You can use M5 TAs on the s65 with a very minor mod. It will bring the TA cost down to approx 500 each.
