M Performance Accessories Install

Going to be picking up a 2017 X6M in a week. I've ordered a handful of M Performance Accessories (Black Grills, CF Mirror Covers, CF Center Console Trim, and Side Grills). Dealer claims $1400 just for labor on these parts. I've installed all the same accessories on 3 different 3 Series Cars over the past 4 years and it took maybe 4 hours. I'm guessing they are charging $125/hr., so about 11-12 hours in labor.

For those who have installed or had installed similar accessories, what has been your experience?

In addition, does anyone know where I can get install instructions for these parts? I'd like to look at how they are justifying the amount of labor as it just doesn't add up and maybe these are more time intensive on an X6M vs. M3 or 335xi.

Thank You!

From what I gather the front grilles and side vents just pop out, you just need to mask the surrounding area to protect the paint ... that should take 15 minutes max. I'm guessing the mirror covers are also easy. Dunno how long the interior trim takes to swap, but unless it takes ten hours I would look somewhere else. I'm having a local body shop that I always work with do all my accessories.

I would agree, as those exterior pieces should pop out if similar to M3s. The interior trim is just the plate around the shifter, as the rest of the CF trim comes with the X6M stock.

@ejholt , what a rip off.
$1400 will cover a round trip plane ticket from LA to you, Uber ride round trip, a lunch, and 2 hours of tackling those.

most difficult piece to install would be grilles,
but it shouldnt take long. I paid $75 to get the black gloss grille and carbon fiber shifter install at local shop.
