I can't hear my exhaust anymore.

I just put in the Dinan CAI and it completely overpowers my corsa exhaust note. I can't tell if it's just the sound change but my car feels faster in the upper rpm range.

Pretty normal, I notice the same thing with a lot of high revving N/A motors with modded exhaust. The intake growl just overtakes the exhaust sound at full song.

Pretty sure stock I do not hear my exhaust at all.

Only people that hear it are people walking on sidewalks when I pass them.

Does a drop in filter have the same sound as a dinan intake? My MS filter is very loud

Induction note will be prominent with s65, but not bad thing
Or cat delete will solve your problem lol

I put an Akra on and now all I hear is exhaust. It sounds so much better I catch myself being surprised at how slow I'm going (sounds faster). And all this with a blower.

Be glad that you can enjoy the induction sound on this engine.
Newer cars don't have that privilege and get the noise replicated through the speakers instead.

+1..it's even worse than that. They have a metal flapper gimmick inside the exhaust to remedy the lack of exhaust sound but it sounds like "putting rocks into a garbage disposal and turning it on".

That's surprising. I'd expect a nice balance of intake and exhaust with both of those mods. My MPE with AA Green is a great match of intake/exhaust.

Primary cat delete. I just went back to stock and didn't realize how loud my car was before. Sounds like a prius now

I may need to start a new thread but I am struggling with the near $1k for the Dinan intake. Is it that great or is there another brand that is close to it in quality/sound?

I did AFE's deluxe Intake kit as my first mod. I couldn't hear my exhaust until 6000 rpm at WOT afterward. I couldn't swap exhaust systems fast enough to balance it back out.

You already have the Corsas (good choice ), go for test pipes or a HFC X-pipe to really enjoy the magnificent sounds the S65 offers. There will be no mistaking the power bump across the range but especially down low.

I still have zero drone and the car sounds well behaved with normal driving or highway driving, in case you're worried about that. As soon as your foot gets heavy, clouds clear, angels trumpet and your V8 sings the song of exotics.

Anybody have the MS Stage 2? Or the GruppeM intake and can compare noises?

I have Test Pipes en route, I actually prefer intake noise to exhaust noise, as intake noise doesn't drone, heh.
