I put my winter tires on 220 wheels on my ZCP and I feel like my rears are cambered?
I put my winter tires on 220 wheels on my ZCP and I feel like my rears are cambered?
Note - My summer tires on ZCP wheels had some inner tire wear 1.5/32nd more than the middle and outside. Is this all in my head? or the change to go to a narrower tire making the stock camber more pronounced? Yes, I know you want pictures but you cannot see it in any pictures. |

It's an illusion... if your rear tires do have more wear on the inside then your alignment is off a bit. You should get fairly even wear on your rear tires.

There is a rear camber oem. Should you only give it some when straight forward and be careful in the bends surely you must end up with a bit more inside wear.

No. Winter tires do not change alignment settings. IF you feel anything different, its due to the rubber compound being ALOT softer and allowing the tire to "squirm" around. The look is completely an illusion caused by the sidewall angle change, since winter tires are made narrower, even if the tire size is the same as your summer set.

I'm lowered on H&R sport plus springs, so I definitely have some negative camber in the front and rear! Ha... I have a lot of pot hole/repaired roads around that I drive on a daily basis so I get an alignment done every 2-3 months. So it definitely helps getting better and more even wear out of my rear tires. I run my tires at 38psi front and rear. I do drive very spiritedly and I love to throw the car into a good hard corner! lol..I have noticed that staying on top of the Alignments has drastically improved my overall tire wear! I run Bridgestone RE-11 tires, I have had Michelin and continentals and the Bridgestone gives much better overall tire wear.

I respect over maintenance than lack of maintenance. I would rather you change your oil every 2000 miles than change it every 50,000. So rock on! |
