Pics of standard (non-Shadow-line) trim?
Hey all,
Don't know of this was asked before and also don't know what exactly to search for - so here we go: Could you show some pictures of cars without the gloss shadowline option? Does the base trim look nice? (Talking about the thing that goes around the windows) |

To me the chrome is completely unnecessary, blingy contrast. Shadowline is much cleaner. Neither of the attached images are f8x but you'll get the idea. . . If you have tints the chrome looks especially terrible.

No that's not what I meant
I'm not talking about Chrome-line. I'm talking about "basic" line - although I'm not really sure if that even exits in the states or if Shadowline is standard. In Europe, there's a "trim" below Shadow or Chrome line. I think it's some kind of matt black plastic every basic 3 series has. (Shadow-line is even standard on an m-sport 3-series over here, but costs like 500€ extra for an F80 ) I'm just wondering what an M3 (especially YMB) looks like without any specific trim line - the rendered pics in the configurator don't really give a useful impression. |

Never mind - found one myself
THIS is basic trim! http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=973112 Shadowline seems to be well invested 500 bucks... But that's not because of the matte black thing around the windows..it's because of those matte black plastic panels on the pillars Last edited by daffyduck; 12-19-2016 at 10:16 PM.. |

Even though you could probably retrofit the trim from a normal 3series if you really really wanted the chrome |
