Considering 2017 Lease

I currently am in the market for a new daily driver. I currently have a 2016 Maserati Ghibli, but may look to trade it in for an X5M.

If I were to do 12k miles a year with nothing down, just first month payment - what would I be looking at per-month?

I see the average discount is around 8%.

Are the MSD's still returned to you if you trade in early? Or sell the car before lease end?

If you terminate the lease contract early, the MSD's are returned to you. If you transfer the lease, the MSD's are returned to the person taking over the lease.

I got around 8% off on a $106,965 msrp. My deal is 12k miles/year, no money down with exception of the first payment and the monthly is $1326 including tax. I don't have any extras financed in like wheel/tire insurance or anything.

Get rid of that ghibli and get an x5m. I find the ghibli to be a horrible car. I've driven a fully loaded sq4 many times and it's a glorified Chrysler. Worst car I've seen for the money.

I couldn't disagree more. I love the car and the way it drives. I just want an SUV, which is better for the East Coast.

What year was the one you have driven?

14's were the first you so they tend me to shaky. I have a 16' and I love it!

It's a 15. Maserati doesn't have the best rep for being the most quality car. Everything in the ghibli feels cheap, the back seat is the most uncomfortable seat in the world, the car scrapes like a lowered Honda Civic etc etc. Maserati should have just stayed with the gran turismo and quattroporte. I have a friend that works at a masarati dealer in NY and he's says they don't sell many at all. After all the ghibli is built I think on a Chrysler 300m platform. Google it, they have a lot of similarities and obviously they are the same co.

Looking at a 2017 X6M Lease (10K annual miles). MSRP: $116,500. Sale Price: $109,997. Gross Cap Cost: $111,221. Carrying $10K equity in a trade (pretty happy they agreed, as vehicle is sight unseen). Out of Pocket Cash: $5K. Adjusted Cap Cost: $96,819. Monthly Payment $1050.

I've seen a handful of posts that most are seeing 8% discounts off MSRP, so in my case about $107K. It's a numbers game as you know. Give a little more in my trade, take away a little less in discount off the MSRP.

Nevertheless, thoughts / suggestions?

I am newbie to this forum and although I currently own a BMW, I coming out of an AMG SUV. Based on some of your posts, the X5M is a bargain to lease vs. the GLE63S and the Cayenne Turbo/GTS.

My problem, I am seeing these great lease deals from this thread and I have called or email many BMW dealers and have not be able to get them to discount more than a couple of precent.

I have also bought several BMWs from my local dealer, including the 7 series in my garage and they told I was going to pay MSRP for one.

Can anyone help???

Keep going at them or find another dealer willing to work with you. I have one dealer locally and they are known to sit tight on their numbers especially for M models. I found other dealers within an easy drive that were willing to discount and ended up using that to my advantage with my local dealer and got them down over a period of several days to where I was comfortable.

I had one dealer tell me "X5 M's are extremely rare and hard to get and we rarely get them in stock so we never discount them.." I replied that anyone can order one directly from the factory (which is in South Carolina) and that there are dozens on dealer lots within 20 miles of here and that maybe you are confused. What a joke some of these clowns are. BMW mills these out as fast as people are willing to buy them.

I thought exactly the same as you when I sat in my friends 2015 ghibli. I instantly recognized the Jeep/Chrysler parts bin interior and thought how in the world could they get away with this in a car that cost this much. The one thing they got going for it is the exhaust sound.

Yea. The ghibli I've driven has like a 95k msrp and it's a 15. I looked on eBay yesterday see what 15 ghibli are going for and the most expensive ones were in the 50s. That's gotta say something there.

The ghibli in 14/15 had the exact same designed shifters that were put in the grand Cherokee and recalled.

You should order out of state and do a PCD or get it shipped. There ar many competitive dealers. I am in NY and I am picking up my car in SC from a CA dealer. Best price than any dealer in NY/NJ could offer. PM me if you need details.
