Dimensions of the F80 hood

Can I get someone in the M3 forum to measure the width of the bonnet at the front and rear, as well as the length down the center back to front. I would like to know the dimensions before I buy one to modify. Thanks.

I don't know the exact dimensions, but it's definitely longer than the 4 series hood.

Does Denver have a BMW dealership? Do you have a tape measure? Problem solved.

My car is being wrapped otherwise I would have entertained your polite questioning. I also think it is reasonable to just go to the nearest BMW dealership and get the dimensions. I honestly don't see them saying no to that.

Happy to assist.
Hope you don't want exact measurements; here are very close results.
Front to back, dead center = 46.5 inches
Left to right at frontl = 57.25 inches
Left to right at windshield = 63 inches at widest part
Left to right at windshield = 55.25 inches where hood turns inward towards windshield

If you need metric, you will have to convert.

Wrong. The only thing that is the same between the F82 and the 4 series (exterior wise) are the headlights, tail-lights, outer-grilles, windows, and doors.

You need to do more research before saying that. Most parts on body are the same between M4 and 428, 435. Hood and fenders are different but size is exactly the same. Difference being grilles for example. They need to change the bumper to fit it

Exact same size? I need to do research? I'll just post this pic again for you.

FYI, one of these bottles is taller than the other.

So, the gaps and overlays are a very ascetically pleasing upgrade. I wonder if the car handles as well...........

Actually if you alter your view from the true or point view (perpendicular line from surface), the bottles indeed look to be the same height. From the right auxiliary view almost everything can look the same!!
