climate control weirdness
My new (17) X5 M doesn't seem to reliably "remember" the state of the climate control when it is shut off. In particular it doesn't reliably remember that the climate control was off. It will turn on the climate control when the car is started even though the climate control was off then the car was last shut off. Same key always used. It doesn't always do this but does it often enough to be really annoying.
Anyone one else have this behavior? --Jim |

Others have complained about this as well. Honestly, the M has the worst climate system of any vehicle I've ever owned. My wife's QX80 blows it out of the water in the climate department.

Some seem to have the A/C in the X5, others swear by it. Seems to be really hit and miss.

Remember prev. AC (on/off): IHKA2 -> OFF_MEMORY: to active set "aktiv" Remember Air re-circulation: IHKA2 -> MEMORY_UMLUFT: to active set "aktiv" if you don't have IHKA2 use IHKA. In addition you can code SA_MEMORY_ZEIT in other ECU to remember seat heating state for more than 15 minutes (up to no limit) |

Seems mostly like people in hot climates (Texas in summer) don't find the AC and ventilated seats to be strong enough. Logical!

I'm in Texas and my F15 blows ICE COLD. I actually have to move it up from the 60F setting, even when it's 100F+ outside. And I have BSM!

Maybe it's just the F8x cars?
