Exclamation My VIN is not valid on BMW Software update

so when I first got my M4, when I entered the last 7 digits on the BMW Software update site, it would say no software update found.

Now when I check, it says the VIN is not correct, what gives?

Mine's also bogus on that site.

Use the BMWUSA site instead. https://connecteddrive.bmwusa.com

That site has no Software Update like the one I showed you to enter my VIN.

I tried logging in using my BMW ConnectedDrive account but it said it's not valid so I registered again, but I can't complete my profile as it needs a US Phone number.

I think the site is not functioning properly. I already emailed BMW customer service about this at 'customercare@bmwassist.com'

I will let you know if I hear back.

Oh that's good to know, I thought someone de-registered my VIN from their system initially coz I know there is one big jerk at the Dubai dealership that I didn't buy the car from him

Im in the same boat, tried to request a software update this morning, entered last 7 of my VIN and:
"The Vehicle Identification Number you entered is not correct. Please check your entry."

Hopefully this gets sorted out soon, Im glad to hear its a system issue and not just my vehicle!
