Instrument Cluster Configuration

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I noticed something yesterday that had me thinking.

Before an early Saturday morning cruise I disabled all my instrument cluster settings in the iDrive system. I did so because I like the minimalist, analog aesthetic that it brings. Not to mention, a lot of the lights/indicators on the instrument cluster are redundant if you have HUD. In doing so, I noticed that BMW does not let you completely remove all the lights even if you do uncheck all the setting options.

Below is a pic I snapped of the instrument cluster at idle. I managed to set it to this configuration, however it only lasts momentarily. Once you reach the speed indicated on the HUD the Efficient Dynamics lights under the tachometer light up.

My question...Is there a way to code/black out the Efficient Dynamics, navi, time, ambient temp, etc. from the instrument cluster? Is there a setting in the iDrive system that I'm overlooking?

Any insight is welcomed.

Basically just unchecked all of the options in the iDrive > Settings > Instrumental Cluster. It only happens if HUD is activated and under the posted speed limit. Once you go over the speed limit the instrument cluster will display the "Effificient Dynamics" info under the tach.

Real question is how do I configure this permanently? Still working on that. Hoping that it's something I can code in maybe? Just really like the cleanliness of it.

I may test this aesthetic look out. I like the info under the tach (...suspension/steering/power train settings), but I like the cleanliness of no odometer, trip miles, etc. too.

Would love to know if you are able to duplicate the look as I've had intermittent success with it. Going to give it a try again the next time I take it out of the garage.

Were you moving or parked? Could it just be glitch? It's about to storm right now, otherwise I'd try it.

Gave another try yesterday evening after the storm cleared. I was able to duplicate it momentarily. Seems to work while the car is moving. The odometer stayed on this time, but the dynamic info under the clock turned off. Going to give it another try later today.
