Sold the M3, and into a Stingray!

After a handful of German cars, I decided to switch it up and recently picked up a 2017 Corvette Stingray! Never thought I'd own an American car, but I really love the styling and bang for the buck performance this car brings to the table!

Congrats Rich, the Stingray looks absolutely bonkers! Looking forward to some comparison reviews after you have driven it for a while.

Congrats on new vette, your right what you get for the performance and money you can't beat. Did you consider Grand Sport, latest reviews are fantastic.

I did not consider the GS, since I snagged this 2017 corvette for less than 49k, brand new! I figured a GS would easily cost another 20k or so.

I'd personally would rather throw a few bolt-ons and/or supercharge the car later with the difference in cash and still have money left over .

I'm so thinking about a GS but every time I drive the M i have second thoughts. I'm more interested in reading what you think about the interior after a few thousand miles. Beautiful ride. Enjoy.

you've always had luck in buying cars at great deals.

I will be waiting for detailed comparison!

I'll write a detailed review once I've passed the 1500 break-in period.

I only had an exhaust/intake on my E92 M3 performance wise.

Man that stingray looks sweet! Chevy really got the supercar looks right with this model vette.
I have a friend who just picked up a new Z06 and he is in love. I've been reading about the new Camaro ZL1 and it really has me considering an American sports car for the first time in my life...

Congratulations on the purchase, looks amazing! Not sure when I will get rid of the e92, but the C7 corvette is high on the list for the next car.

the interior is actually very functional, and looks nice. But IMO after owning both cars. My M3 felt much more solid, and the leather was softer. There are a few gripes i have with the corvette interior tho. overall its doable for this kind of sports car. I can go into more detail if you send me a PM, dont want to take over the thread.

but comparing everything else to the M3. The corvette looks so dam sexy, and is much more fun to drive. those GS models are very cool.

recently sold the corvette for something totally different.

What did you sell the C7 to get into and for what reason?

Well i had the corvette for over a year, and really enjoyed it. Never got tired of the performance, and the car kept pulling looks where ever it went.

it was just little to much car for the daily drive. Best case is to have the corvette sitting in the garage for days when you wanna have fun. The M3 offered more luxury and comfort for sure.

Instead of storing my corvette for the winter like last year, i sold it. I have a down payment on a 2016 Range Rover sport right now that comes this week. My buddy picked one up last week, and i really enjoyed it.
