They are both very easy to install. Watch the install video on YouTube.

Getting to the fuel connector is a pain and so is running the OBD cable into the cabin. After doing it once it gets a bit easier.

Exact on both for me, best thing to do is find someone that has done it before, save yourself some time .

Do a search for the jb4 supplemental guide there's a lot of good information in there that will help you install. It's also all about having the right tools. I recommend a 90 degree pick and that well help you pop the clips off easier. Also having some fish tape will help you run the OBDII connector through the firewall.

+1 on the fuel mass connector being the biggest pain for me... and I have smaller joints and hands lol

The ODB wasn't bad at all for me but I have a DCT car which is a little less painful than a 6mt for that portion.

Actually the Jb1 is very easy to install, takes less than 5 minutes with 2 sensors only (MAP and TMAP) ... Jb4 takes about 45 minutes.

Both installs are easy and straightforward

JB4 + manual transmission was damn near impossible to get the ODB through the firewall. My friend and I worked on that piece alone for 2+ hours. We finally had to split the wires to get it pushed through. The Clutch cable takes up a ton of space.

Fuel sensor connector was very easy cant see how it was difficult for others just turn swap connectors then turn back, worst part was getting that obd2 cable thru firewall in my manual car and no instructions anywhere ..
i used a wire coat hanger put it thru that clutch hole then tape the small obd connector to coat hanger pull out slowly and move wire around till it comes out

The JB4 and JB1 have identical installs other ethen the JB4 has the CAN Connection you route under the dash and the optional mass fuel sensor you can connect.
