How to change display from EfficientDynamics to current M DDC modes?
Hi does anyone know why my f80 m3 showing this Efficientdynamic map, but I saw others all showing Settings of the car.

Go in iDrive, under Settings -> Instrument Cluster. You can change it from there:

► Replace Regen/Efficiency Bar ?
on my my17 m4, below the tach i have a brake regen/efficiency bar.
is there a setting i am overlooking to replace with the older display of drive modes pictured below?

There's a setting at the top of the options you can go and change it. I'm not near my car so I can't look but you can change to either efficiency or the different modes as pictured.

Are you referring to the Drive select mode indications for throttle, suspension and steering plus transmission shift mode? All are set based on Drive modes selected. You can remove the indications from display via an idrive menu.
Edit: unless BMW changed it for 2017 it should be the first check box in "Settings" then "Instrument Cluster".

How do I get modes to show instead efficient?
Just got my car today.. how do I get it to show what settings I'm in like sport+ etc instead of it just saying efficient?
