M logo in gauge cluster

I have a dumb question (and I promised I looked in the manual, but didn't see an answer to this).

It looks like there is a LCD screen under the speedometer (similar to the LCD that shows the /M settings under the tachometer).

Does the LCD under the speedometer show anything other than the /M logo? How?

No it does not. We do not get the extended dash. All we get is the M logo on that side.

If you Google BMW extended dash you will see what I mean.

Just took delivery and noticed nothing else shows in the left display area beneath the speedo besides a ///M logo. Anything else show in there?

I don't think so. If you get the light on it right, you can see that the LCD screen is only on the center and right side.

Kind of a waste of space

The M logo looks great there but it is kind of a waste of space for just that.
