4.4k for gold or platinum coverage? I was quoted $4480 for gold for 100k/5years and $4990 for 100k/5years

i already exceed 50k miles when i want to extend it so thats why i need to pay separetly between maintenance warranty and the power train

Hey Everyone,

I wanted to share my story with the seller, Maheer, in an effort to save anyone who's considering this car a big headache.

I found Maheer's ad through craigslist a couple of months ago and met to see the car. Everything was in order except for a big dent on the bottom of the front intake (not shown in any pictures). I made him an offer a few thousand less than he was asking since this was not disclosed in the listing and it would cost at least $2000 to fix.

We kept in touch over the next few weeks and last week he reached out to confirm my offer for the car. He said if I came up $500 we had a deal. In addition, he said he was leaving town so we needed to close by 12/21. I agreed, asked him to give me a few days to get the money from the bank.

I spent all weekend working with various banks on financing and ultimately closing with Wells Fargo for an auto loan. Maheer and I then confirmed to meet halfway between us (1 hour drive for each of us) on Tuesday at 2PM. Tuesday morning comes around and he's suddenly had an exam come up and can't meet. I ask him if there's any way we can meet later in the day since he's leaving the next day. He says his exam ends at 2 and he'll be in touch.

I head to San Mateo where we agreed to meet around 3:30PM to beat traffic and wait for Maheer to let me know when he's coming down. He finally responds at 5:30PM and says he's worried my cashier's checks are fraudulent and doesn't want to meet. I text him the receipts, pictures of the checks made out in his name, my loan agreement from Well's Fargo that says I've sold my soul to them. He confirms it looks legitimate, says he'll grab the title and meet me in 1 hour.

2.5 hours later, and he never shows up. He won't respond to any text messages and all calls go straight to voicemail. I drive an hour home, tired, frustrated and confused.

In addition, I had to spend 2 hours at Wells Fargo to cancel an auto loan yesterday (not a fun process, I wouldn't recommend it).

The bottom line is Maheer is disrespectful, has no accountability and no consideration for others. In the end, I hope this car finds a good home but please be very, very careful if you decide to pursue dealing with Maheer.
