Sedan vs Coupe Price difference?
Hey all. I searched and looked on the BMWusa site, but I cannot find the info.
I was wondering why the coupe runs so much more in MSRP than the sedan? I cannot find the specific differences. Thanks in advance. |

the 335i coupe v sedan both with same equip (ie sports pack both) the price difference is like $1100
On the M3 the only difference is the CF roof so the $1100 normal difference the CF roof looks ot cost $1600 Been in the back of coupe and sedan, the back of the seats is different the coupe has some pockets in the back of the front seats also the Coupe has a standard fold-down rear seat would be something of the cost difference right there. |

The "coupe" is ALWAYS perceived as sportier & will always cost more. Sedans also always gets you a cheaper insurance rate as well!

Standard in Coupe/optional cost in Sedan: Carbon Fiber/no cost sunroof = $1050 Fold down rear seats = $475 Actual difference = $1175 which is in line with what has been the normal price difference between a 3 Series Sedan and the Coupe, give or take $100. Source: www.bmwusa.com |

I thought you were talking about the light orange lighting in the cabin. Pretty useful in the e90, since you do not need to turn on the map lights for90% of actions that require a little bit of light.

You could add the motorized seatbelt "helpers" for the front seats as well as the ambient lighting for the price disparity. |

Got it. I remember the E36 M3 Coupe and Sedan pricing was the same.
I was just worried that they decided to remove some of the goodies from the coupe for the sedan. Kind of like the Sport package XI does not get the oil cooler or rims, except with special request. |

Sport pack XI gets oil cooler only when optional 18" wheels are selected.
I don't really consider the "extras" in the coupe goodies, more like useless electrical items (i guess the seat belt assist thing is ok, but fails to give me the seatbelt occassionally) |

I have not seen these helpers. Is it like the old seat-belt that slides along the pillar, or is it something new to help get the seatbelt around a fat gut?

It's a motorized "arm" that slides out from behind the door bringing the seat belt within easy reach of the driver (and front passenger too?) so that the driver doesn't have to reach way back behind the seat for the seat belt. I saw a video somewhere but I cannot find it now. Maybe somebody else knows where this video is located.
