Brake Issue (Bad brake pad shape?)
In this long thread it seems quite a few M3/M4 owners are frustrated for the brake issues they encountered.
Brakes Making Vibrations and Weird Noises Just take a close look on these OE pads and notice the brake pad lining are fairly square in shape to begin with before adding bevel on edges*, and after beveled, especially the rear pads it actually has reverse aspect ratio (Height is longer than width) than most of the pads we are familiar with i.e. (Width is usually longer than the height) Just a hint for you to think about it, other than compound, if those issues have something to do with how a brake pad is shaped. *All these corner weight, edge trims etc. are supposed to help reduce the vibration and noise, but it appears they don't help, could possibly make it worse? |

Who knows.
What I do know is BMW could easily fix this if they wanted to. All they have to do is revert back to the E90 rotors/pads. They were rock solid.
