Stock ZCP Dyno?

Anyone have a stock ZCP on a dyno, preferably back to back with a non-ZCP, to see if it is truly only a 14hp increase? It sure feels like more than that on the butt dyno...

We have another one coming in tomorrow.

I'll try to make time for a "before" dyno (prior to installing our software) if the time permits.

That'd be awesome. Thank you.

Here's a comparison of ZCP vs non-ZCP:

We've dynoed a few ZCPs now, numbers are pretty consistent. Hope this helps.

Yeah, it is slightly too aggressive for pump 93 octane on the ZCP. I'm still testing on 93 octane, but as soon as I start running an E30 mixture, I'll run map 7 again and see how it goes.

I've seen anywhere from a 10-20 hp difference, so 14 seems right on the money.

There is big difference between the 2 dynos from EAS and VF for the stock CP cars.

Are they both on 91 octane or were there other differences from the dynos that set them apart 20 hp and 20 tq?

All three sets of dyno results above are comparing 2 different models of car, on 3 different dynos.
CARS = ZCP/Comp - Non-Comp
DYNO = EAS - VF Engineering - Reach(unknown dyno location/type)

Dyno results can vary (even with the same car) if you dyno them on different days based on weather, airflow, the way the vehicle is strapped down, fuel quality, etc...

Make them different cars altogether, being dyno'd on different days, and you get what you see above which are wildly varied results.

The most consistent use of a dyno is to measure the same car, on the same day, under the same conditions for weather and airflow, without removing it from the dyno in between the modifications.

The 2016 BMW M4 ZCP car we have here today is being measured using that exact process. We'll be posting the results with the HEX Tuning Stage ONE ECU Software shortly.

Thank you for posting.

What fuel was used on these pulls? 91 octane?

Also, where both of these cars dynoed on the same day? Can you post the uncorrected graphs?

Yes sir. 91 Octane indeed.

Both cars were dyno'd on different days, which is why I specified the "Stock non-ZCP" dyno as being for reference use only.

NOTE: We also dyno these cars in 4th gear because we like the shorter pulls and lower drum speed.
We know we can get slightly better numbers in 5th, but we dyno for deltas, not for max values.

Uncorrected plots will be posted in our Master Thread by the end of the day. (click to jump)

I see the comp package has higher power #'s but Is it me or does the ZCP HP/TQ dyno graph look a little inconsistent or not as smooth as the non ZCP M. Can someone explain???

According to BMW, it is 19hp. Not 14...

425hp -> 444hp (US units)
431ps -> 450ps (EU units)

It appears the ZCP car was overshooting its boost target. Without a datalog or at least a boost plot, it's hard to say for sure. The DME could also be pulling timing as well.
