M4 - Extended Storage

Give the fact the ZCP has hard backed seats, means there is no rear nets for the front seat as is normal with the extended storage pack.

Other than the cubby hole bottom right of steering wheel, what else is included or missing from the M4 on this pack?

Liked the storage cubby on my 335d but I'm not paying £155 for it! Lol

Bag hooks in the boot. I don't have extended storage and really really wish I had spec'd it. There's nothing worse than running an errand to tesco and either having your bags ride shotgun in the front seat or empty themselves all over the boot.

Not worrying about 4 pints of milk spilled all over your boot floor is worth £150 in my book.

I've tried retro fitting the hooks but there is no hole to fit them into as the whole boot lining is different with extended storage.

Oh and you only get that cubby hole if you do not spec the lane change warning/anti collision/blind spot warning. The buttons to turn hose on and off occupy that space in the dash so no cubby hole either in my case!!

You also get a PowerPoint in the boot. Which to me is useless but it comes with the package

Yeah i understand that. I intend on buying a Weathershield bootliner and mats for the M4 and I have to say i've never used bag hooks in the boot on any of my cars.

I used the storage cubby, rear seat pockets and underfloor boot storage on my other car but not sure if the underfloor storage is there either.

Would be good to know whats actually included or missing in the M4 for this pack.

My m4 (non ZCP) has the under boot floor storage. I'm assuming ZCP will also have that.

I missed that front storage box from my E90 so much I was happy to pay the £155 for it this time. The pack adds power to the boot and rear consol too which will be useful for me.

I love the extra space under the boot to keep things like shopping bags. Whether it's worth the extra is a personal thing....

Hi Guy, quick question on your car ...... did you get the net in the glove box that holds the removable centre console piece?

Some have said they didn't get the net.

Will check tomorrow morning but I'm not aware of a net in the glovebox?

Ok cheers Guy. They may be cutting back a bit then on the LCI.

May have to accidentally make my current one fall out of the glove box, all by itself!!!

Thanks for checking that Guy. So they have cut back then.

I think zooberoo on here bought one from the dealer for around £18 IIRC.

just to clarify things.

All M4's will have the under boot storage - it mentions it in the extended storage list but its there regardless
no new M4's have a net in glove box - you can buy one from BMW parts, some have got it for free by complaining that it should be there - hit and miss.
you also get a boot floor net with extended storage - without it you just get the anchor points but no net.
and as i mentioned although you get the little mini cubby hole to the right of the drivers side with extended storage this is deleted if you also get the active security package as the buttons occupy that space.
plus the boot and rear console power points as mentioned.

to be honest i think it depends what you are using the car for. as a daily driver i would get extended storage. I didnt and regret it. as a second fun car then theres probably no need as you wont do the shopping in it often or fill it with junk..

I've ordered the extended storage - if only for the 12V socket for the rear seats - keeps the kids happy!!!

But I think you get more on the 3 series. I ordered it as part of the Comfort Pack and you get the through loading system through to the boot. Which of course doesn't not apply to M3/4 due to the design of the seats.

To add to the information provided by Jimbooo ...

You also get a small net on the left-hand side of the boot in the space directly behind the rear light cluster.
A small pointless elastic strap on the right-hand side of the boot.
2 x bag holders (left and right-hand sides of the boot).
12v sockets in the rear and boot.

You don't get nets on the back of the front seats - with or without CP.

dopper99 is correct. I ordered the glove box net from my local dealer for about £18. Probably best to try and get one for free first though - as suggested by others.

NB. I had the under boot storage with partition in my F30 and that didn't have extended storage.

I think that pointless strap on the right hand side of boot has been deleted as well in MY2017 cars. Sure i read something about that, no loss though.
