M4 Newbie 😊

Hello All

Just lost my M-verginity, finally ordered my M4. The spec is as follows:

F82 in Azurite Black
M DCT
HK
HUD
Adaptive headlights
High-beam assist
Speed limit display
Sun protection glass
Extended storage
437 black wheels

I think I got a good deal too. Just under 11k discount and 2K down coming in at 700pm.
Got 3 weeks until delivery. Very excited

Well I drove the Comp pack and I loved it but I found the normal version as good, granted the cosmetics it looks the business but I decided to save the money and will make a stop at ACS.

Sounds good! Not long to wait then! Now that I'm a veteran M driver (having owned one for a day), looking at your spec, you will find the speed limit display option very handy!

Agreed. I use the SLD daily in my current car and didn't realise just how much I tend to refer to it.

Did consider not adding it but would be crazy not to for £220.

To be honest it not something that I added. I was going to order a car and spec it up myself and add things like LED lights and surround view etc. I currently have a 335d that had almost every option however when I went to order it the dealer told me that they had one coming from Germany and would be here in a month which was missing a few extras but on the upside I saved nearly 11k. My point is that if you can make do without a few extras and buy a stock car you can hammer the dealers and at the end of the day it's still a M car.

Sounds like you got a good deal and you have plenty of extras, HUD, HK , HBA etc.. you won't need surround view cameras as you will be too busy watching the horizon coming towards you up front

Nice spec, looking forward to seeing pics of Azurite/SS. Great deal too, was that luck or did you track down a dealer with the car coming into stock?

I just went to a 3 or 4 of dealers and started to negotiate prices and specs of cars that where available and then when I got to the cheapest and had a idea of what is possible I walked into the final dealer with figures that I had put together and told him what I wanted to pay and the spec I wanted.

Dropping your mileage down to 8k would help the GFV and in turn monthly payments. When you are in the car, call BMWFS and up the mileage limit

Is it cheaper to do that post sale rather than pre sale as part of the deal? Thanks.

I might be completely wrong but don't see how this works?

Appreciated.
