BMW F85 X5M Dinan vs F26 X4 M40i at the DragStrip 1/4 mile run

Everyone remembers the thread against a stock X5M in April with member Coelho http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1251747

This past Friday we had member Ryngo match up with his Dinan Stage1. Both cars otherwise stock but a piggyback tune.

80F weather // high humidity // my first run after driving over 1hr to the drag with only 10minute of cool-down.

X5M Dinan Stage1 = 12.1
X4 M40i = 13.1

Other races of the night I was running against my buddy's 335GT w/ Active8 his fastest was only 13.7 vs 13.098 (me).

Other X5M who attended with their X5M Dinan Stage1 were AwesomeM3 Djvolume and xueju1121 (stock)

Looking forward to see X5M stock vs Dinan STage1 vs Racechip vs Other Tuned jcfay vince7870 onfireX5

No, we didn't. The only stock X5M showed up too late to race.

I bypassed the Stage 1 using the app but then had trouble changing it back to Stage 1 due to connectivity issues, so I didn't want to mess with it anymore.

Does anyone know if the Dinan tune overrides or changes the speed limiter?

It doesn't. You need a flash tune to override the speed limiter from my understanding.

Thanks. So then what is the limit on these cars. I thought it was 155 mph

Well. On a closed course private property - I've seen both on the speedometer. But was coming off the gas and saw 158 flash. Was surprised. Thus the question. Will try for 159 next time!

I think I found another one Maple Grove Raceway in PA, unless Coelho or jcfay decides to get RaceChip haha and we can compare it against the Dinan and Stock X5M
