Charger setting for coding

Need to do some coding on my E92 tomorrow to enable the backup cam I installed today. Was thinking of getting a charger to connect while doing the coding to avoid any low battery issues. I know everyone recommends the CTEK, but they do not sell them locally and I want to get this done tomorrow.

If I get a standard charger that has amp settings, what setting would I select for the coding session, which will probably only last 10-15 mins anyways.

Thanks!

Any current setting you like will be just fine bud. Alternatively keep the engine running while coding, no worries while coding with for instance Carly.

Keep your coding sessions under 15 minutes to be safe and you'll be fine.

Assuming you have a battery with no current issues such as a low battery alarm or intermittent electronic issues.

Sure, but such a person would hopefully replace their battery in that case.

Thanks guys - My battery was replaced about a year ago with OEM and I've never received a low battery or discharge fault. I will just hook up a charger to be safe.

Appreciate the info!

For what it's worth, I had my camera programmed along with other things I've done without a charger. You can also code it with the car running.

I went ahead and coded the modules and changed the VO with the car running. Everything is working perfectly. Nice to now have a reverse cam!

Thanks for the help...
