Video of a Night Vision warning

The video below shows a thin flashing beam directed at a small animal crossing a rural road at night.

The animal had been detected by the Night Vision infrared camera and the flashing beam is intended to warn the driver.

In real life the flashing beam is far stronger than shown in the video.

(The dashcam is BMW's Advanced Car Eye)

Also detects pedestrians and does the same thing. But i've noticed (on mine at least) that under a certain speed (i think 30-40 kmh) it's not activating the beam.

I've posted about this numerous times on this forum. The spotlight feature of the night vision system is deactivated in the USA. The DOT won't allow it. The spotlight is from a multidirectional rotating light that replaces both foglights. I would have opted for night vision if the USA allowed this feature.
