New oil cap?

What's up fellas. So I ordered a new oil cap because mine started leaking. When I received the new one it looked different. I'm assuming it's because they dropped Castro?

Current cap on the car

I just bought a new one a few months back (same reason) and it looked different than my oem cap but definitely doesn't look like that. sure that's not for a 335i?

Parts get revised all of the time. The old one could've had some design issue they discovered later. Who knows.

When you ordered it, did you provide your VIN? That's the best way to tell if something is the correct part.

OP, I have the "new" one (2011) that looks different to the 08's. Similar to the one you've got there but not exactly the same shape.Still, if it fits you should be OK?

There it is. Why, surely it must be possible to fix the one leaking bro? Heard it start sipping if turned up side down - seems crazy - but even so it must be possible to take out the sealing, clean off and make it tight? No?
