Took A Few Photos Today

Went to a local Cars & Coffee today, and it was windy as hell.

Stayed for about 1/2 hour and only took some of the car.

Met up with my friend and his almost finished P1800:

Which prompted me to get home and get the wife's almost finished MK1 out for it's first tank of gas since the resto.

Mann! That's a nice color and it looks clean. But it's setting way too low for my taste!

I lower and raise it at least a couple of times every time I take it out

Looks great man, loving Rotiform's new designs. Any pictures of the trunk setup?

Thanks, man! They're actually an old design, just tweaked. Nobody really bought them, because their configuration on their site was pretty ugly. But, we tweaked the config a bit and got the end result!

I really need a proper shoot with the trunk setup and all.

Beauty of air ride is that I can please all people's tastes. Haha.

I would never drive that low (I've had really low static suspension in cars in the past...) with the M. But, I absolutely love the way the car looks when aired out and just hanging out.

Not to mention, people's reactions when they see a car that low is priceless. Hahaha...

I dig the wheels chrome a lot compared to the painted zcp especially on the last picture where it's not excessively lowered. But i dislike the ghetto gang drop on the first pictures. Makes it look like it's some thug who stole the car and got his chop-chop buddies install 'million bucks' wheels on it, meaning this type of mod will profile you. Also the wrap, is a thumb down for me, i can see it's plastic not paint from those pics.

Wait...why are you comparing a set of completely custom wheels to stock ZCP (which I never had)?

Also, the height is adjustable. It literally stays that low when parked. If you're profiling a car to a "ghetto thug", then that clearly shows your state of mind. Grow up

I rarely defend myself against the car since it's mine and I love it, but that type of prejudice against anyone for anything is ridiculous.

Again, the wrap is a wrap. It's an M3. It's not a holy grail. I'm more concerned about the shitty eggshell prone paint from the factory than I am a wrap that allows me to change it up when need be.

My favorite thing about the internet is when people quote all the pictures in the OP when they reply

C'mon dude...you've been on these forums long enough to know that posting pics aired out or airbags in general gets no love up in here! lol

I however, like you, come from the VW/Audi world and are open minded about airbags/stance/etc. With that being said, props on the work man...I like almost everything. The wheels don't do it for me though, just doesn't flow with the rest of the car IMO.

PS: To me, this car is my holy grail...thank you. haha

Love those wheels, still not TOTALLY sure I would do them on my M3 but love them!

As far as the drop, its his car, let him do what he wants lol.

Haha...I'm not looking for love. But, there seems to be a general misunderstanding of air around here (still with the "how do you drive it like that?" stuff. I had to explain the whole thing to my pool guy, and I'm still not sure if he understood after a demonstration).

Also, when you get people chiming in spouting very vague racist shit (i.e. "you'll get profiled as a 'ghetto thug'"), I dunno. I'm not cool with that. It really shows the close-mindedness and general frame of mind that members here have.

The wheels aren't everyone's cup o' tea. But, I love them. And, knowing that there's not another set anywhere else in the world? Priceless
