May 2016 - Any 2008s or 2009s still have their original battery?
Would like to hear from any 2008 or 2009 owners still on their original battery: Any reason you think your battery lasted this long? Storage temperature range? Battery tender? Daily driver? Every weekend driver? Rarely driven? No short trips?

Every ///M3 needs a CTEK battery tender because it prolongs the lifetime of every battery !

65k and still on the original battery. I'm the original owner. 2 years ago I bought a charger and use it if I don't drive for a couple days or if I take several short trips. Sometimes when I connect it, it reads 40-50% and charges to 100% in less than an hour usually. My commute to work is 15 miles and only takes about 20 min.

135K miles and owned since 22K miles. Original battery.
Daily driver except during the winter months where i guess averages to about 2 times a week of driving. |

09/70k with the regional battery still going strong! Died on me twice, but it was my own fault. I put it on the tender and I'm good to go.
But i will have to change it out sometime. I get some random codes pop up on me, but once i charge the battery they go away! Lol |

My June 08 build just had its battery replaced at 22k miles on December 2015.. Started getting battery discharge warnings.. Sears battery plus iCarly for registration was painless

I just replaced my battery on my 2008 e92 M3 with 30k miles, as the battery discharge warning started coming on. Probably could've pushed it a few more months, but didn't want to be left stranded somewhere. Previous owner kept it on a tender.

08 with 22K miles still on the original battery. I use a CTEK when I store it in the winter.
