I wanted to, but too much hassle.
I would always get really anxious every time I got an alert. |

Hi BitteEinBit, Does the Redline have a GPS lockout for false alerts?

The RL does not have a built-in GPS chip, but when used in conjunction with EL (free premium subscription for 1 year) one gets auto-learned - and unlearned - marks in addition to being able to manually mark alerts.

No GPS in the RL, but as Xeno states, it has the capability to be used in conjunction with Escort Live which uses Bluetooth and your smartphones GPS for real-time alerts from fellow RL drivers who have marked speed traps, red light cameras, etc.

Thanks!
The Escort line detectors are all getting bulky and heavy. I think Redline looks to be the best as far as performance and size. The only thing that I dislike is the no GPS lockout that I wish was built in.. I don't want to rely on a smartphone for that. But then again I guess GPS function makes it bulky.. I was happy with the V1 design ( size and construction ) but too noisy.. I was happy with the passports Max ( performance and blocking false alerts ) but I hated the size too bulky and construction was poor.. the housing case fell apart from bouncing up and down from the mount. I'm waiting for company to come out with a sleeker & quality design that is affordable.

How is EL working these days. I never use it anymore since when I did use it in the beginning, nobody else did, so it was kind of useless.

For those who have an F15 equipped with ACC and or Lane Departure Warning any issues with Radar & Laser detectors?

I personally find EL to have some value on my daily commute. That is, it shows me actual radar/lidar hits which often conform to known patterns (i.e. locations) with time of day being the least known factor. Since I use the Escort 360 near where I live and the RL on the open road, EL also makes for a smooth transition (while driving if necessary) and the only way to tolerate RL falses.

However, I add the Escort 360 for my commute and major cities that I drive through like Atlanta and Nashville. I use the RL on the open road. Neither of these Escort detectors alert to my F15 BSM. Laser units are not legal where I live. Escort has their own forums with official input - and censors - at ERD and the better independent forum is RDF.

i've had jammers in the past and no issues with these systems but they're costly and unfortunately i don't bother removing them from the vehicle once i part with them so at this point i am looking for alternatives.
