Thought I would put my own build thread together, mainly to keep track of what is happening an keep it in one place.

Ordered/Last changes/Deposit Paid 6th April

Originally scheduled for 7/7/16 Estimated Delivery

9th May informed of a delay with my car due to IND Leather combined with leather dash

Now expected mid-late Aug but will wait for 1st September

So my order via TRL for F80 DCT CP SS/AB (Silverstone II & Amaro Brown)

My Full Spec:

F80 M3 Competition Package Saloon S55 3.0 Silverstone II
Amaro Brown Merino lthr - BMW Individual
20" M Star-spoke style 666M forged alloy wheels with mixed tyres
Steering wheel heating
Seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission (M DCT) w/ DRIVELOGIC
Model designation deletion
Reversing Assist camera
Sun protection glass
Extended storage
Armrest, front with sliding adjustment
Carbon Fibre interior trim w/ Black Chrome finishers
Adaptive Headlights
High-beam Assistant
Surround-view
Head-up Display
Loudspeaker system - harman/kardon surround sound
Speed limit display
Leather instrument panel - BMW Ind

So here it is at last, well worth the wait!!!

Either that or Atlantis with Amaro, but I still love Silverstone.

order it earlier than you want it then. if the leather dash it has add 12 weeks to the normal for me.

foggy, quick question. If I have full leather (which I do) on my comp pack m4, which adds the leather dash, it should not add extra time to mine should it?

I presume yours is an exception as it is tied in with full indv. leather as opposed to full silverstone merino?

Competition pack has more leather than normal m3? Does anyone have pics where on the car this is? This is good news for me, I just ordered extended leather

Nope? No additional leather on the CP...to my knowledge....

Not sure I want it to come forward now, 66 plate and MY2017 changes have won me over.

That is true, the internet is shocking. Many dealers do not even want to tick the box anymore.

CP to my knowledge does not have any additional leather to non CP.
Extended leather is misleading as it means no leather dash, lower dash/glove box, or upper doors...

Full leather gets you all the above and imho is worth every penny...
