Spec Check Please
Hi All,
So I'm getting quite serious about going for an M4 CP DCT but not planning to go mad on the options. I thought I'd just run them past you all to give you chance to spend my money SS with SS (I think I can keep the leather looking good) Carbon trim HK HUD Speed Limit Display Sun Protection Glass Heated Steering Wheel Adaptive Lights I think that's it. Was wondering about rear camera but drew the line just before. Will buy the service pack too. Thanks in advance for your help

I didnt order full leather as the price escalates (when you are trying to stick to a budget)!
Adding full leather also adds: Sunblinds - £190 Aluminium Blade interior trim w/ Black Chrome finishers £300 as well as the £1330 for the leather so the total is £1820

I've never understood those additional items, they have absolutely no relation to the amount of leather you wish to have. Who would spec sun blinds as a standalone option? Probably about 1% of people! |

If you are doing it monthly then that cost almost halves due to the gfv increase.. Personally I would take full leather but I have had it before so have been spoilt

You shouldn't have any problems with the SS leather. I used Dr Leather spray block (expensive but seems very good) when I got the car and occasional clean with their cleaner and after 2 years no problems.
Personally I wouldn't bother with the heated steering wheel but would have the reversing camera and I have the surround view. It is quite a big car and easy to misjudge where kerbs are. The surround view lets you judge exactly where the front is and saves potential damage to splitter etc. LED are very good but not in my view essential unless you drive outside town a lot at night. I have never had the speed limit thingy and not sure I would trust it. If you have to drive on icy, snowy, or cold wet roads in winter a lot keep some cash for winter tyres, in my experience the pss don't like low temperatures and damp roads. Depending on whether you play music a lot HK may or may not be necessary, it is Good value on cp cars.

I am tempted to drop speed limit display now as I have seen a few people say it's not that accurate.. Would adaptive lights be a better option?

I think the speed limit display must be relatively accurate, I presume it reads the road signs to set the speed limit displayed?

Mpe. Releases the hooligan in you. And adds about £80 per month. Store the original and stick it back on before you sell or hand back and sell the mpe second hand for a grand or so.

This is what I'm deliberating, I have a fully loaded spec minus 2 options, through loading system (its a convertible), and the extended storage.
Is the extended storage really worth it? For me its more of a weekend driver than a daily, but does this option add anything special foggy? Cheers
