M4 Missing Cup Holder Tray Storage Net

My '16 M4 has the removable cup holder tray but no net in the glove box. I guess it has been deleted because the LCI M3 no longer needs it. As the M4 still does (and to satisfy my OCD) I thought I would buy one and fit it myself.

The part number is 51169248396 and it cost me £18.72 from my local dealer.

It clips into the 10 square holes in to the top of the glove box. There are 6 across the back and 2 on either side.

Fit the front clips first then push up at the back to locate the remaining clips. No tools are required and it takes no more than 5 minutes to install.

Hope this helps someone!

Glad you got it sorted and dont know why they dont give you one in the first place?!

Whats different about the M3 and why dont you need it? Does the cup holder cover thing not remove now?
I took mine out the once and its never been back on!

The 3 series has a retractable cover now. I don't know why they don't supply one with the M4 either but for £18 and 5 minutes work I didn't feel like complaining.

They gave me an i8 for the day whilst mine was having its 1200 mile service so I was in a good mood anyway.

Here's a photo I took yesterday. In edrive you can potter around in near silence and in sport the torque fill makes it an overtaking weapon!

My dealer promised an M5 for the day originally but they sold it so I had this i8 instead.

This information is incorrect. The M3 LCI still has a removable cup holder cover.

I stand corrected. Does the M3 still have the storage net in the glovebox?

Think I'll be "borrowing" the one out of my F30 before it goes!!!

I assume for extended storage on the M3 you get the net in the boot floor?

If I was removing a glove box storage net I would start with the 6 clips at the back.

I spoke to my dealer about this net when I took her in for the 1200 mile service and they said I should have been supplied with one (they checked the part listing). So, they have just sent one out free of charge. Worth those that haven't been given one asking your dealer to send one out!

It all adds up when you're saving up for the next M goodie. Maybe take it as store credit

I haven't got one in my m3, although having said that I didn't think they'd given me a manual either but they had.

I'd like one zooberoo but I do find the whole design a bit Heath Robinson.
