I think they can buff most of that out. Rod bearings are probably salvageable.

Yeah, prices seemed reasonable, then that. There should be a discount for the whole rolled over and buried in sand condition...

It looks like it went off the road to the right, fell of a cliff. first hit the ground on the right side which ripped both right wheels then rolled over and crushed full weight on the top left.

Driver probably lost control in a left turn at high speed in a canyon.
It's a sedan with individual interior leather. The right cup holder is intact.

I would think the driver had his last day.

I work in the recycled auto parts industry. I have seen all kinds of crazy smashed, twisted wrecks arriving every day. We buy rollovers as well. Using valuation formulas, we would buy this primarily (obviously) for the drivetrain. Additionally we would sell many miscellaneous parts. I see suspension, wheels, accessories under the hood, seat modules, other computers in the trunk and all over the vehicle and more. Most importantly, when we have this type of car or any high end luxury or performance vehicle, we get a lot of name recognition nationwide. Since the parts are published in multiple databases, insurance estimators, body shops, used car dealers, independent mechanic shops, etc. they all see our parts, our name and now start calling frequently. I see nothing wrong with this salvage for the purpose it is intended. Wish we had bought it instead.

Oh and the bio hazard, probably blood stains so beware of potential staph infections.

This is standard fare for us daily.

Interesting and thanks for the info!

Out of curiosity, what would something like this go for in its entirety? $6-8k?

Judging by the severity of the crash, there was probably a lot of blood in there.

Varies based on multiple factors. First, how many salvageable parts and condition of parts. The type of damage also indicates whether some major component had a good chance of being damage free. For example, in a hard front end collision the engine and trans have a greater chance of damage than in a rollover. Other factors, how much search activity for parts, what time of year, what geography, how many do we already have in stock, how well the previous vehicle performed in terms of sales, etc. To answer your question I would guess between $8K-$15K but I'm not involved in buying. However, these cars are almost never found at our type of facilities. I know because I've been searching for parts since January to fix up one that was damaged on the entire right side.
