Be glad you don't have them. Adds weight and complexity, serves very little purpose, and makes a mess of a clean car when all you want to do is clean your windshield. I had them on my previous car. I ordered this one without on purpose.

^^ +1 Had it on my E46 and they were worthless. Maybe if there's a bunch of dirt on them, but car would have to get super dirty for them to be of any use and that's just not realistic in city driving. All they did was splash water all over the hood. Ever since have avoided this option on my BMWs like the plague.

I have them and they work great when pedestrians are walking in front of you car. Next time a girl with a white shirt walks in front I'll test them out again

My Audis had them. I guess it's nice if you drive in really lousy winters where salt and other grime accumulates on the headlamps, but I can totally live without it. At least on my Audis it was recessed and "popped up" out of the bumper to spray. On the M3, they're fixed which is probably more reliable but also doesn't look as clean.
