Mine is a 2011 from 3/2010. I have LCI tail lights, no start/stop, and my iDrive can't stream audio via Bluetooth (older commbox). Those last two I believe started on 2011.5 cars.

2011.5 (09/10+) added auto start/stop and BT audio.
2011.75 added connected drive/Bmw apps which are gay so no biggie.

The differences primarily involve the availability of options so not all cars have visual clues. I think the auto start/stop button and light on the dash above the ashtray/cupholder is a pretty universal way to tell the early 2011 models from the later ones. I think things like the competition package, two tone interior and M button on the steering wheel are options that would differentiate the old and new. I think the 2011.5 and 2011.75 differences are just the possibility of adding combox/electronics changes - I'm not sure if there is an easy visual way to tell just by looking.
