Would you spend $100,000 on an M4?

Im in the process of purchasing my M4, its completely fully loaded: Black Sapphire, Full Silverstone leather, M adaptive suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, M Performance Exhaust, ETC. The total price of the car came out to be $99,835. So my question to you guys is: would you ever be crazy enough, like me, to buy such an expensive M4 ahaha.

PS Don't try to convince me out of it bc my heart is set on this car.

No I wouldn't. My next car will be a Viper or Z06. That's how I'll use my 100k.

I agree, and you don't even have to buy a stripper. My local dealer has a $117k M5 Competition on sale for $99k.

M4 and M5 are different animals, if you're considering them definitely test drive both before deciding. They cater to completely different audiences IMO.

Personally I wouldn't spend $100k on a M4, the value proposition just isn't there for me. But then again I buy my cars in stripper form

I would just go the P car route. I am enjoying pretty much the same car at 70k.

That'd be a no. Unless you work for BMW and you can get a sick discount. When it comes time to sell your car the original msrp isn't gonna hold up its value so chop off some options tbh.

Damn...? Mine is pretty much fully loaded, including M performance carbon fiber parts. AND MPE and I was only at 80k. Even if I ended up ordering carbon ceramics and individual paint, it wouldn't reach 100k. MAYBE if I ordered all that + individual interior, would it break 100k for my deal.

I'm legitimately curious about what's included in your deal.

If your heart is set then go for it!

Lease, if you get a decent monthly. You're going to get murdered on resale if you buy it outright. A 50 grand dick kick after 3 or 4 years ownership is a possibility.

As you can see those are saying no are also saying they'd buy something stripped even the m4 stripped. So they don't see the value of all the add-ons you'll enjoy. Hell, they'd buy strip and then 3 months later tackle on 25K of aftermarket mods anyways! LMAO. I say go for it. The M perf, individual colors, full leather, Carbon Brakes all in my opinion make the car look like a $100K car. As for resell, come on now... we don't buy these cars for investment. Go for it and post those pics! Can't wait to see it.

How'd you do that? mine is at 85K with ZCP, m perf carbon parts, fully loaded including full leather with Azurite Black.

Agree with this statement. I value options A LOT and all of the BMWs my family owns are fully loaded. These options are used once they are on the cars. There are many people who don't give a crap about options but there are many who do. The fact that the OP added all of these options means he cares about them and will need to use them.

It's not fair to compare a loaded M4 to a stripper M5 since the M5 doesn't have any options that the M4 will come with. Many people say if one buys a 60k fully loaded 335i, he might as well go for a M3. Well, the M3 at base price will not have the necessary rear view/surround view cameras, the awesome head up display, the nice heated steering wheel for the winter, etc etc etc.

So yes, I'd buy the 100k M4 if all those options are wanted.

I supposed it really does depend on your dealer as to how good of a deal you'll get. I understand that the markup varies. The M4 sell like hotcakes in LA so it makes sense why I'd get a better deal there.

Which is part of the reason why I didn't order mine here in Vegas. The deal I was getting here was already at 80k without the MPE and carbon parts lol.

It just surprises me how some people's numbers are way up there. Even if the OP's car was ZCP, it had to be practically full individual to reach 100k, relatively speaking of course.

Yup, just like I told one of the Porsche fan that posted... the M4/M3 is taking the recipe right out of Porsche. Base M4/M3 and up to 35K of options. Have we ever seen this done before by BMW?! Nope and for those that can afford it, worth every penny i say.

I'm not sure I'd favor an M5. The M5 is at the end of its product life cycle. The next generation is coming out. I'd stay away from that.

However, I only paid about $67k to $68k for my M3 and it's nicely loaded with Executive, Adaptive and DCT. Granted, I don't have full leather and MPE, but if I added those, I'd be at or around only $75k.

Well, actually almost everyone outside of the USA paid more than $ 100k for his new M3/4, fully loaded or not.

Yep, just signed up for a $155,000 M3 Comp Pack in Australia.

Mind you, Australian M3/4s come pretty much fully loaded as base, only options I had to choose from were heated steering wheel (no, too hot here already), sunroof (no, too hot here already), power rear sun visor (sure, whatever) and individual paint (yay Tanzanite!!). Eveything else you can think of is standard, including DCT so while I love my manual 1M it is hard to justify going manual M3 as a no cost option...

My 2016 fully loaded w/o CCB and heated seats and steering wheel but with full M Perf exterior and akrapovic exhaust + downpipes costed me $133k. No individual goodies as well.
