Just Bought the new M2. Excited but going to miss my E92 and this community...
Although I like the F8X M3/M4, Ive always just thought it wasnt worth the premium over my Black M3 Coupe...
Since more and more research and a ton of reviews have been spilling out on the M2, I decided it was much more car for the money... Since an supposed motor seizure led to a total loss of my M3, and a great hookup at the dealer allowed me to purchase the showroom model (which happened to be the exact car I would've built) I put a down payment on it a few days ago... Black Sapphire Metallic, Black Leather & C/F interior, EVERY option (Executive package). Premium 19" wheels The most surprising thing is the M2 is actually faster than the M3/M4 in most aspects. It also handles and brakes Slightly better. The M3/M4 is obviously faster top end, which I would attribute to the twin turbo, the M2 twin scroll turbo obviously experiences heat soak much earlier leading to a loss of performance after some hard driving....This can easily be corrected, F8X Suspension, F8X Engine internals, F8x Dash....Although I may have to throw some F8X seats into the M2... Anyway here are the details and I just wanted to say Im gonna miss M3Post, may even have to buy a e92 track project to remain a part of this group But the M2 looks like a hell of a car and its going to be nice having one for a few months before the mass market

Congratulations, it looks great! I heard the performance of the car is great. But also heard it is cheaply made, especially the inside of it. Like it doesn't have the premium feeling e9x interior has. Would love to hear your opinion.

Wow sorry to hear about what happened to your M3! The new car looks sharp, enjoy it! Any plans for the seats?

Yes absolutely a downgrade in the quality of the interior, but that goes for all BMWs. They have been in cost cutting mode the last few years... The E9X interior was hard to beat...But a little work and I think between maybe upgrading the steering wheel and seats it may not be like my old interior but itll feel much more luxurious. But thanks bro!

Either going with reclining leather Recaros/Sparcos, or if possible the F8X seats would be nice... Hopefully its not an issue being the driver seat is tilted (See video) but theres always a solution

Why would you leave? You're allowed to stay even if you don't have an E9x, bro
Nice, M2!

Although they say unlike the M3/M4 F series the power band is linear not unlike the e92...And raising the rev limit is obviously high on the priority list. The M2 actually sounds pretty damn aggressive stock considering turbos usually really muffle the tone...a good straight pipe and 8k rev limit should sound pretty mean. Well see.

The M2 seems to have as much in common w the F8X as it does with the F2X.

Its funny 15 years ago, of all the custom colors I chose Laguna Seca Blue to paint my 91 Accord. Although bc the fade it doesnt look like it...Parked next to a LSB e46 the color was actually spot on, and obviously a very tough color to match...
I had plans to eventually paint my M3 LSB. But who knows what the future holds

These show the color a bit more accurately...(Yes the wheels are photoshopped, I had just had my OZ Racing wheels stolen in the middle of the night and was on steelies...But you get the idea...Even put a 2.2L DOHC VTEC in there w/ NOS and got that 4dr over 300 HP LMAO...Pulleda hero run at 13.9X @ (I Forget) at West Hampton Drag strip, before they closed...LOL

Back on topic...
The finance manager emailed me the production number of the car to track it. I was told no more than 4 weeks...I assume some of you have experience with this...Can I track the car accurately w that number?
