Air Freshener Anyone?

Hi folks. I'm curious to know what your solutions are to keep the car smelling fresh and clean.

With a family and a large dog, it's an uphill battle for me. I just ordered a natural bamboo charcoal bag that supposed to absorb odors. Anyone try those?

I Vacuum once a week.

I wipe down the Interior dash/center console with 1z Enzeit Cockpit premium and a microfiber

Clean Interior Windows/windshield once a week

Wipe down leather once a week with a very lightly damp Microfiber towel (using distilled water)

every 6-8 weeks I use Polish Angel BellaClean Leather cleaner and Leather Masters Protection Cream for Seats / arm rest and Steering wheel

(keeps it Matte and dry feeling just like stock) No Sheen/gloss

That's it... NO AIRFRESHNER EVER

car still smells like Leather 1 year later

IF you do need to remove a particular smell charcoal is a good route to take

You can also replace the cabin air filter earlier if necessary

I also have a dog. I keep one of those frebreeze vent clips in the rear vent. Plus wipe down the interior with a cleaner once a week. So far no complaints by anyone.

That's a good idea! The reason I didn't get Febreze clips was because I didn't like how it looked on the dash, but putting them in the back would solve that problem.

How's the longevity on those? The BMW ones only last ~2 weeks per refill

The clips are pretty subtle so I'm not sure if I've gone nose blind to them but occasionally I can still smell it. You wont sit in the car and get smacked in the face by Hawaiian breeze (my prefered choice ) but it's nice and light. My current one has been in there for maybe like 3 weeks and should probably be replaced. I mean for like $2.50 for a pack of 5 of them you're not going to break the bank

oh, and I'm not using the one that has the liquid in it. It's just the typical toothpick looking clip one.

No air freshener in M4 but have some Wonder Wafers / new leather scent to throw under the SUV seat once in a while:
