Meisterschaft and Downpipes

Wanted to ask any others with Meisterschaft exhausts and downpipes getting a loud rattle when accelerating or slowing down? Asked Luigimaster because he has a video clip of what my car exactly sounds like. Is it the wastegate rattle or is something else wrong? Luigimaster was very helpful and explained that the sound went away after installing an Akrapovic exhaust but after a long and tedious series of changes. But just wanted to see if others had the same problem. I have fabworx dp's and a full Meisterschaft with LXR pipe. Here's Luigimasters video on youtube.

I do have a rattle when I let off the gas decelerating. It's not very noticeable but I hear it. It's waste gate for me

As for accelerating, never heard of such an issue.

Waste gate does get louder the less restrictions there are.

Its really loud for me and annoying. Quite embarrassing as well with my squeaky brakes! haha Cold start is super super loud too.

Weird thing is that when I put the car into 3rd setting near the shifter, it almost completely goes away.

How about when S3/D3 and sport plus? I know it tends to be less annoying vs D1/comfort

Yeah I meant to say the S3/D3 setting. It's seems to go away completely. In D1/Comfort is when it is prominent.

I agree. Sounds like waste gate.

In different systems the noise is louder than others. I've had 4 different exhaust setups and it was loudest when I had complete straight pipes. Less restrictions more noise. I'm always in D3 / Sport Plus so it doesn't bother me much. Comfort/D1 has so much lagg for me. Haha

I've heard from several others with your same setup it's very prominent. Must be the construction of the exhaust. Probably resonates that noise more than others.

Tune that cold start out. Best move I have ever made.

Reason it goes away in D3/S3 is because it's changes he waste gate operation.

F10M5Manual posted a video showing the waste gate rattle issue. I'll try to find it. Shows its operation and the noise

I know exactly what your talking about.
I have CATLESS Dp's and GTHaus system.

I don't even drive my car in Efficient mode.
Just S+, never really tested the D 1,2,3 to see if that helps at all.

Only issue I have is Valet, when they pull your car up in Efficient mode its embarrassing as hell.

BTW You absolutely have to get Cold start takin off with the Tune, or the car sounds like a JET turning on in the morning.

Is there a benefit to the cold start aside from a quicker warm-up?

Cold start is meant to warm up the cats. If your Catless its not needed

I have it too! Once you go catless or aftermarket dp. Your bound to get the rattle, they provide video how to fix it. But i wont touch it due to you can screw how the cubic air inch closesn open then you can be seeing sorts of loss of power

Leave it the way it is and be done with it. Lol.
