new M3 owner

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this forum and this is my first bmw.

I named her Shelly. I have a tradition of naming my cars with female names beginning with S and ending with Y. She has all the options I wanted such as: jet black/black interior combo, dct, edc, idrive, heated front seats, and pdc (cuz parking is hard). Sadly, Shelly has a sunroof.

I purchased this 2009 m3 e92 with 39,xxx miles back in Nov. 2015. She now has 43,250 miles. I did months of research before pulling the trigger. After reading your guys stuff here, I knew what to look for when purchasing a used m3 and found this awesome car!

I have no friends, so I don't need the back seat space. I also don't like colored interiors.

I know what you're thinking. It looks like there's dried jizz on my airbox. What happened was, there was some dirt on it and I tried to clean it with paper towel and water.

I'm also missing the screw thingy on the intake manifold cover. I can't find a replacement. I would have to buy the entire thing.

Lab reports are good.

I just hope my pistons don't explode.

Nice pick up! Sunroof is only acceptable on a black car IMO. Looking good!

Nothing wrong with a sunroof - unless you're a track rat, that is - or you're like 7 feet tall and need the extra headroom that a carbon top offers, lol.

I'm not really into mods. I feel bmw did an amazing job designing this car and I don't want to ruin the balance in the handling and I really like the way the s65 sound stock but if I had to put an exhaust it would prolly be the MPE. I did minor aesthetic mods such as the lux h8 v5 angel eyes (the adjustable ones), painted reflectors (for that euro look), and the black chrome kidney grilles. bmw races their ///m cars with black kidney grilles, so I don't understand why they don't come with them from the factory. I already have the zcp wheels, but I haven't mounted them yet. I'm planning on doing the LCI tail lights retrofit next month.
